About Jim DeBerry
Prior to 2017, Jim DeBerry served as our Executive in Residence and Senior Vice President of Subsidiary Brands Strategy, Mergers, Acquisitions and Business Integration.
DeBerry’s tenure was responsible for sixteen of twenty subsidiaries overseeing 221 million dollars in annual revenue.
Jim had an influential role in overseeing the implementation of subsidiary Definitive Television Media Group's Non-linear Broadcasting and Video-On-Demand content licensing for monetization. Key accounts include the pre-merger of the Pantry Brand and its Kangaroo Express locations in 11 states with over 900 Gas Station Kiosk and over 2000 Circle K locations as of 2016.
Also, subsidiary, Definitive Television was a leading disruptor in the space providing content reaching over 90 million homes across the U.S. servicing Sudden link, WOW!, Spectrum, and RCN Corporation with client focused driven original content from The American Tourist, Sports and Entertainment Now, and The Thirty. In 2013 the subsidiary acquired and integrated the Post Production Company, We Got Science, sports and science library into the portfolio, and sold its Vancouver-based 10,000 sq ft facilities.
Mr. DeBerry was responsible for the Morley Hospitality Subsidiary in 2016. The small-midsize cap REIT focuses on Commercial Real Estate, Hotel Asset Management, and Tourism Attractions. A key area of focus included the redevelopment of 460,000 square feet for a leading Time Share brand, including a new Bowling Alley, Gift Shop, Retail Outlet, Arcade, Laser Tag, Fitness Center, Zip line, Waterpark Attractions, exterior renovations, and resort themed swimming pool.
DeBerry led the Enormous Festival Fair, Entertainment Trade Show and Seminar Company Subsidiary with a brand extension and strategy, integration, team management of the World Famous Mister Crabs Race and Comedy Show. Recently under DeBerry's direction, we saw the addition of 20 new dry goods SKU's and core products impacting the bottom-line of the division by 12% increase. Instrumental in the development of educational programs designed for counties and municipalities with educational exhibits and shows, increasing profits from $300,000 to 4.41 Million in annual revenue. This division expanded from just under 80 traveling shows to 131 in 18 months, while tracking for 224 shows scheduled for 2018
DeBerry currently serves as a Board Member of the 501(c)3 non-profit, The Gordon Morley Give and Get Foundation.
Before leading Morley, DeBerry served in various senior level positions for top five PE and VC firms handling brands in Hospitality, Swimming Pool, Aquatic, Water Park, Attraction Management, and Renewable Energy.
DeBerry is married with children and a member of First Baptist Orlando. He is passionate with NAMB missionary work. As of 2018 Jim actively has two Angel Investments.
